West Cork Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of an international dairy, flavours and nutritional ingredients company headquartered in West Cork, Ireland.
You will be joining the company at an exciting stage of growth, where they are looking to build on a proud legacy of achievements in innovation and sustainability to create the next phase of growth for the company.
The Relief Production Operator is responsible for the production of alcohol for various customers and for minimising effluent loading to the Effluent treatment plant. This involves the competent operation and monitoring of all equipment in the Distillation Plant which includes the Distillation, Rectification and Anhydrous Plants.
• Start up, running, shut down and CIP of the Distillation plant producing feints for storage or further processing.
• Start up, running and shut down of the Rectifier producing 96% ethanol.
• Start up running and shutdown of Anhydrous Plant producing 99.9% ethanol.
• Load/unload tankers for customers.
• Diagnose issues with Plant and take remedial actions to rectify these issues.
• Carry out maintenance and other tasks as required.
• Monitor Cooling Tower operations and dosing.
• Attend and contribute to the relevant meetings.
• Optimisation of alcohol quality and yield.
• Minimise impurities in products.
• Responsible for record keeping of all activities, cleaning and of any abnormal occurrence on a days’ production.
• The daily sampling of product and the testing in Lab as appropriate.
• Perform any other duties when requested.
• All Distillation Operators are trained in Atex requirements and the standard operating procedures of all equipment and practices within the Distillation Plant.
• The Distillation Operators are aware of all legal, customer and safety requirements to produce alcohol in a safe manner.
