Business Development Representative

West Cork Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for a Business Development Representative for a leading supplier of liquid fuel, you will be accountable for helping manage and build the sales and commercial function. The ideal candidate will have a tactical mindset, powerful communication skills, and robust leadership skills.

Main Duties, Responsibilities & Requirements for the Role.

● Generate sales through outbound and inbound efforts
● Exceptional phone skills and ability to connect with customers over the phone
● Must have a good tone on the phone and have the ability to deal with multiple requests at once
● Be comfortable with building marketing campaigns and have a good understanding of the marketing funnel
● Leverage email outreach to qualify prospects and initiate sales conversations with key decision-makers at target companies
● Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of the companies service offering, industry trends, and competitive landscape
● Collect market data before and during outreach to understand prospective customer needs and effectively communicate those needs to sales leaders
● Be the first point of contact for potential clients while executing marketing and sales tactics
● Help break into new expansion markets
● Use Linkedin and other sales tools, to build prospect lists and craft outbound messaging
● Record monthly and quarterly sales and performance goals to ensure they are being met
● Prospect potential customers via cold calling, email, or other forms of communication to ensure they are added to the sales pipeline and produce more qualified leads
● Identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
● Customise product solutions to increase customer satisfaction
● Analyse market reports to determine where to seek out new business
● Trying out and using various prospecting tools and software
● Networking, face-to-face meetings, and any other activities that help to generate and close leads
● Meeting and exceeding sales quotas
● Maintain the client database to make sure the sales team can access current information on all leads
● Innovate novel sales techniques to drive new customer acquisition
● Conduct market analysis and integrate solutions into the sales process
● Improve existing methods to optimise client retention and minimise customer churn
● Integrate existing sales tactics into a holistic sales strategy
● Exploit analytics to provide novel insights into targeting development
● Help break into new expansion markets and provide commercial support in negotiating contracts
● Work collaboratively with all internal teams to foster a culture of continuous process improvement & to ensure a united vision when communicating with customers
● Spearhead new Marketing Campaigns on a regional and national level.

● Ability to lead, nurture, motivate, and inspire folks (a leader)

Education & Experience:
It’s a plus if you have a degree-qualified in a Business and/or Marketing/Sales Undergraduate Discipline (the University of Life also counts!)
